Three mates from Queensland, Australia have spent the best part of their lives breeding, rearing, exhibiting and judging pure bred poultry. Collectively they have more than 100 years’ experience going to poultry shows, visiting backyards and living their hobby.
In the book, each of the chookmates tell his life story in their own words. They talk about starting off, learning all about poultry husbandry, selecting breeding birds, rearing from chickens to preparing birds for a show.
Along the way they met some interesting “poultry people” and relate some of the funny stories of happenings at poultry shows and in poultry yards.
If you’ve got an interest in poultry, from a backyard flock to a team of show winners you’ll enjoy reading about the journeys these chookmates took in pursuing their hobby.
